RESIDENCE
A child's "residence" can be either:
a primary residence; or
a shared residence.
When a child spends most of their time (usually more than 60% of the time) at one parent’s house, it is referred to as ‘“primary residence”.
When a child lives with each parent on a shared basis (generally at least 40% of the time with each) it is referred to as “shared residence”.
The child’s residence will generally determine child support.
